One Crisis. Two Faces.

In Nigeria's Hospitals

The Doctor in the Room

In an emergency, the chances are that the first doctor you encounter is a house officer, a corper, or a doctor with less than five years of experience.

That doctor is expected to act and solve that emergency at the level of a seasoned specialist, despite their level of experience and even when they have never comfortably handled such a case before.

  • Dangerous to the patient
  • Dangerous to the doctor
  • Dangerous to the hospital
55,000 doctors : 230 million people.

Of those 55,000, only 6,137 are confirmed specialists. Not even enough to serve the urban population.

At Primary Care Level

When There Is No Doctor

Nigeria has over 34,000 primary healthcare centres. At most of them, there is no doctor. Research shows that at community health posts, the first point of care for millions of Nigerians, 97% of staff are community health workers and assistants with limited clinical training.

Only 0.7% are doctors.

Nurses and community health workers become the frontline. They are the ones available during an emergency.

34,000+ primary health centres.

97% of community health post staff have limited clinical training. Nurses and CHEWs hold the line alone.

Same problem. Different setting. One solution.

Founder

Dr. Ifunanya Igweze is a physician with a Master's in Global Health Delivery and almost a decade building at the intersection of healthcare and technology. As the founder of Preggify, a maternal health app with over 5,000 users and a community of 30,000 across platforms, she has designed automations, templates, and SOPs for primary health centres and private hospitals across Nigeria.

Building Preggify taught her something critical: telehealth support can only deliver its full value when it meets quality care at the point of contact. StatPoint is built from that understanding.

Got Questions?

StatPoint is built for any health worker who faces emergencies without immediate specialist support: house officers, corpers, junior registrars, senior registrars, nurses, midwives, and community health extension workers.
No. StatPoint works fully offline. Once installed on a device, it does not need a network connection to function.
No. StatPoint does not connect you to another doctor remotely. It is a reference platform. Structured guidance you access yourself, on your device, in real time.
Google gives you information. StatPoint gives you a protocol. The difference in an emergency is the difference between reading about a fire and being handed a fire extinguisher with instructions.
StatPoint covers over 1,500 emergency cases across 20+ specialties, with the knowledge base growing continuously. Cases not yet in the system can be flagged directly from the app, allowing them to be reviewed and added to the pool.
StatPoint uses the Oxford Handbook of Clinical Medicine as a baseline, alongside handbooks across different specialties, locally available African and Nigerian clinical materials, and relevant textbooks and resources. All content is further reviewed by individual specialists in their respective fields before being made available on the platform.
The final product will require an access fee, kept affordable for both individual health workers and facilities. StatPoint is built to serve individual practitioners and institutions alike. During the current research and pilot phase, reach out to discuss access.

It gives you the confidence of knowing you are doing the right thing, step by step, in any emergency. It protects you from the risk of negligence, licence suspension, litigation, and reputational damage that can follow a poor patient outcome. You show up. StatPoint has your back.
For hospitals, it reduces clinical risk, protects the institution from litigation and reputation damage from poor outcomes, and raises the standard of emergency care across all staff levels. For government, it helps cushion the health workforce shortage, equips primary healthcare centres running without doctors, and provides a standardised, scalable emergency reference that can be deployed across facilities simultaneously during outbreaks or mass casualty events.

The Right Step. Right When It Counts.

Every health worker deserves a StatPoint.

Every patient deserves a health worker who has one.
